Black Bean Soup


1 lb Casserole Premium  Black Beans (Soak Overnight)
3 Bay Leaves
1 tsp Thyme (dry) leaves
1 1/2 Medium chopped onions
1 Cup of chopped green peppers
2 tbsp. Minced Garlic or 6 Garlic cloves finely chopped.
1 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper
1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper.
1/2 lb Bacon Slices (6-7 slices)
3 Pkts of Goya Sazon

Cooking Instructions

Cook bacon reserving ALL drippings.

Drain Overnight soaked Black Bean and rinse.

Cook bacon reserving ALL drippings.
Using a 6 QT Pot with Cover (Lid) Add all ingredients including
dripping (EXCEPT BACON) into 6 QT or larger pot add 21/2 qts of water
COVER WITH LID, bring to boil.
Once boiling reduce to simmer, STIR occasionally let the black bean
soup cook slowly for 6-7  hours. Add water if too much evaporates.
When soup is done
Serve Black Bean Soup /Top with crumble bacon.
